Old Map of Brussels
A stunning map that contains an almost inconceivable amount of detail considering the limited amount of resources that would have been available to the cartographer, Willem Blaeu, at the time this map was created in the 17th century. The map depicts the traditional geographical region of Brabant and centres around Belgium’s capital city, Brussels. The decorative map features the city’s four coats of arms, a unique compass rose and a military scale. Blaeu has not missed any detail in this map, andincludes the regions of Mechelen and Louven with every feature, including roads, rovers, forests, towns, canals and much much more, visible to the viewer.
Available in three sizes: Large: 24″ x 31″ (61 x 78.7cms) Medium: 18″ x 24″ (45.5 x 61cms) Small: 19.5″ x 14″ (49.5 x 35.5cms)
